1. La Cruz de Huanacaxtle

What to do

  • Marina Riviera Nayarit – great for yacht tours, sport fishing, snorkeling, and whale-watching (in season).

  • Sunday Market at the Marina – artisan stalls, food, crafts, and local products.

  • Local dining – excellent seafood and international restaurants by the marina.

Estimated travel time

10–20 minutes from Tamarán Residencial (depending on your exact location).

2. Bucerías

What to do

  • Bucerías Beach – long, sandy shoreline perfect for swimming or relaxing.

  • Artisan Market – jewelry, handmade textiles, and Huichol crafts.

  • Seafood restaurants – try ceviche, octopus, aguachile, and the traditional “pescado zarandeado.”

  • Art Walk (seasonal) – galleries and local artists displaying their work.

Estimated travel time

  • From La Cruz: ~10 minutes

  • From Tamarán Residencia: 10–20 minutes, depending on your area.

3. San Pancho (San Francisco)

What to do

  • Bohemian/artistic village – cafés, boutique shops, art studios.

  • San Pancho Beach – great for surfing or a quiet day by the ocean.

  • Nature + birdwatching – jungle trails and eco-tourism activities.

  • Local markets – depending on the day, you’ll find artisan and organic markets.

45 minutes to 1 hour from Tamarán Residencial.

4. Nuevo Vallarta

What to do

  • Wide beaches with calm waves — great for families.

  • Water activities – sailing, jet-skiing, paddleboarding, sunset cruises.

  • Biking paths – you can rent a bike and explore the coastal trails.

  • Luxury dining and spas – many resorts and restaurants open to the public.

20–30 minutes from Tamarán Residencial.

5. Puerto Vallarta

What to do

  • El Malecón – iconic boardwalk with sculptures, galleries, bars, nightlife.

  • Zona Romántica – cafés, boutique shops, beaches, and vibrant nightlife.

  • Los Arcos Marine Park – ideal for snorkeling or kayaking (access by tour).

  • Mismaloya – a beautiful cove with lush jungle and calm waters.

  • Whale watching (Dec–March).

Estimated travel time

30–45 minutes depending on traffic and starting point.

6. Costa Alegre (South of Puerto Vallarta)

What to do

  • Vallarta Botanical Garden – tropical plants, rivers to swim in, trails.

  • Hidden beaches – more secluded spots as you drive down highway 200.

  • Nature + photography – lush mountains meeting the sea.

Estimated travel time

1 hour+ depending on your final destination in Costa Alegre.
